FONart Fest: Football as Art

July 9 – September 6, 2026

Mikhail Savitsky Art Gallery
Minsk, Svobody Square, 15
Wednesday–Sunday, 11:00–19:00
Closed: Monday, Tuesday
Starting July 9, the Minsk History Museum and the FARBA Gallery will open an exhibition project for the whole family, “FONart Fest: Football as Art,” in anticipation of the decisive matches of the FIFA World Cup. The project explores the beloved game from a broader perspective – not only what happens on the pitch, but also the emotions, memories, traditions, and family stories that arise around the world’s most popular sport.

Art installations, interactive zones, multimedia objects, and works by contemporary artists will allow visitors to experience how football and art unexpectedly complement each other. The exhibition will also feature unique photos and videos of Minsk football arenas and the events that took place there. A themed quest, photo zones, a podcast about the exhibition, and much more will make your visit even more engaging.

A separate section of the exhibition features a selection of the best immersive films from the FARBA team. These spectacular films, projected onto multiple surfaces, reveal the art of artists from different countries. On Wednesday, visitors will be treated to a film about the Dutch artist Vincent van Gogh; on Thursday, about the Mexican artist Frida Kahlo; on Friday, about the Austrian artist Gustav Klimt; on Saturday, an entire international series, “From Monet to Kandinsky”; and on Sunday, “The Italian Renaissance: Giotto, Da Vinci, Michelangelo, Raphael Santi, Titian, Botticelli.”

“FONart Fest: Football as Art” is a unique project at the intersection of sport and contemporary art, where football is revealed as a source of inspiration, creativity, and human stories.

This project was supported by the title partner, the FONBET bookmaker.

The project will run until September 6, 2026.
